Step into a world of musical colour and joy as the SCO present three charming masterpieces.

We begin with Le Tombeau de Couperin, a sparkling tribute to French Baroque elegance. Its delicate textures and graceful dance rhythms shimmer with refinement, offering a modern twist on timeless beauty.

Next, the spotlight falls on SCO Principal Cello, Philip Higham, for Saint-Saëns’ Concerto No.1, a work of dazzling brilliance and lyrical warmth. From its dramatic opening to its sweeping melodies, this concerto is a showcase of passion and flair, guaranteed to captivate.

Finally, prepare for Haydn at his most inventive with the Symphony No.101, 'The Clock'. Famous for its ticking rhythm and playful surprises, this symphony brims with wit and charm, reminding us why Haydn remains the master of musical delight.
